Roy Lawson was born June 30, 1952 in Rose, Oklahoma to Ida and Monroe Lawson. He passed from this life on September 30, 2014. Roy worked as a welder at Precision FAB of Catoosa. He was a hard worker and an avid hunter and fisherman. He always got his deer for the season. He also enjoyed boating, camping and gardening. Roy was good hearted and such a great person that he even gave a kidney to his sister. He told her she had to drink one beer each day to keep it working! Roy was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Monroe Lawson; and by two sisters, Trudy Alcorn; and Debbie Thomas. He is survived by two daughters, Annabell Gray of Tulsa; and Amber Dawn Lawson of Bristow; three grandchildren; brothers, James “Jim” Lawson and wife Patricia of Blanchard; Robin Lawson of Tulsa; sisters, Connie Smith and husband Loyd of Sand Springs; Judy Sherrell and husband Jerry of Sapulpa; Betty “Bunny” Monson and husband Terry of Stroud; Tammy Tanner and husband Danny of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
