Obituary of David Charles Hankins

David Charles Hankins, 56, of Kiefer, OK met his loved ones at Heaven’s gates on Monday, November 30, 2015. David was born on July 31, 1959 to parents, Charles and Vivian Hankins in Tulsa, OK. He married Deborah Hughes on June 27, 1981. They were happily married for 34 years. He is survived by his wife Deborah Hankins, sons Chad Hankins and Cody Hankins, parents Charles and Vivian Hankins, father-in-law Richard Hoover, sisters, Dorthie Parker and husband Randy of Kiefer, Kimberly Barrett and husband Craig of Glenpool, brothers-in-law Ray Smith and wife Carolyn of Tennessee, Glen Smith of Florida, Jay Smith and wife Pam, Harvey and wife Teresa and Denny and wife Roxanne all from Arkansas. Nephews and Nieces, Charles Parker, Erin and Matthew McGonigal, Zachary Barrett, Jennifer and Chris Bivins, Jacob McCall, Rob and Brittney Smith, Heath Hughes, Braden Hughes, Hannah Hoover, Jackson Gregory and Westin Hoover. Great nieces, Ella McGonigal and Maggie Scott Smith. Great Nephews, Gaven McGonigal and Greer Smith and a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. David was a graduate of Kiefer High School and Okmulgee Tech where he was certified as an Auto Technician. David was a hard worker and ran Hankins Auto Repair for many years with his Dad, then on his own after his Dad retired. David was a wonderful husband and father. He always had a smile and joke to share. David would give help and advice to anyone who asked. He would give you the shirt off his back and according to his Mother a coat to any classmate at Kiefer who needed one. He was a loving and protective son and brother. No words can describe how much David will be missed. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Kiefer, OK with Randy Parker and Darren Legrand officiating. Visitation is scheduled at Green Hill Funeral Home Thursday from 9 am until 9 pm. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
