Obituary of Betty Jean Guess

Betty Guess was born February 1, 1945 in Slick, Oklahoma. Betty was the oldest daughter of the late Alton and Opal Guess, who preceded her in death. She was a very loving and Christian person. She loved God very much. Betty never married or had children of her own. She was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church for many years. She moved to Bristow and became a member at Rogers Chapel under the direction of the pastor, Reverend Kellum. She was a mother to her nephews, whom she loved very much. She lived in South Haven. She loved cleaning and going to church. She graduated from Webster High School. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Alvin Ezell Guess. She was survived by siblings Lillie Hooks and her husband Gene of Bristow, OK; Juanita Esco and husband Joe of Okataha, OK; and Melvin Guess of Tulsa, OK; two loving aunts, Everett Hamilton and Roberta Buttler of Tulsa, OK. She loved them very much. She is also survived by a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends whom she loved. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 4, 2015 at Rogers Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled from 9am – 8pm Thursday at Green Hill Funeral Home.
