Obituary of Betty Ann Barber

Betty Ann (Jeffery) Barber passed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the age of 82. She was born on August 27, 1932 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Purl Arthur and Rebecca (Thomas) Jeffery. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters Eva Mae Nicholson, Mary Jean Vaughn one brother Purl Arthur Jeffery, Jr., her loving husband Henry Barber of 55 years, her daughter Debbie Sue (McKelvey) McCaslin and son-n-law Ray McCaslin. She is survived by daughters Ginger Stobaugh and husband Rick of Sapulpa, Tammie Henderson and husband Ray of Oakhurst and one son Jeff Barber. She has 11 grandchildren, Chris Stobaugh, Stacey Murrell, Brandi Smith, Travis McKelvey, Kathy Newman, Jamie McDonald, Cody Barber, Drew Colombia, Clifton Jamison, Johnny Jamison and Ray Henderson, Jr. She has 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Brother-in-laws Kenneth Barber and wife Opal of Garber, OK, Arnold Barber and wife Lucille of Bangs, TX , Joe Barber and wife Glenda of Bowlegs, OK, sister-in-law Daisy Jeffery of Midwest City and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty attended school and graduated from Bowlegs High School then married her beloved Henry Barber on September 16, 1950. Henry made a career in the United States Air Force which allowed them to travel around to different countries and upon retirement they returned to Oklahoma and settled down in Kiefer where she was a stay at home mom to their four children. During the 70’s she found a hobby and fell in love with the sport of bowling and spent a lot of her free time at Sahoma Lanes where she made a host of beloved friends. This allowed her to travel through the years to different state and national tournaments during her bowling career. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in her honor to Physicians Choice Hospice, 1131 E. The family wishes to thank the staff of Physicians Choice Hospice and Cancer Treatment Center of Tulsa for their loving care they provided Betty. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 29, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday from 9 am – 9 pm and Sunday from 1-9 pm.
