Obituary of Jerry Harvey Evans

Jerry Harvey Evans, 76 of Kiefer, OK went home to be with his family on February 11, 2015 at 8:30 pm. He was born June 2, 1938 to Sol and Rosa Evans. He graduated from Kiefer High School in 1956, where he loved playing football and all sports. His love of football was enjoyed all through his life, from high school to his favorite college team, the OU Sooners. He also loved and enjoyed fishing for anything that would bite or just casting a line. He loved hunting: Quail hunting, Dove hunting, Pheasant hunting, Deer hunting, Turkey hunting, if there was a season for something to hunt – he enjoyed it. He passed his love for Hunting & Fishing to his children and his grandchildren. Jerry was a welder by trade and retired in 2007. Jerry is survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter, Phyllis of Tulsa; Jerry Derwin and wife Tammie of Kiefer; Kelvin and wife Myra of Prue; Michael and wife Sharon of Prue; Robbie and wife Barbara of Prue; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Virginia of Sapulpa; and brother Gail of Tahlequah. He is also survived by his best Buddy “Bob” at Cimarron Point, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, Sol and Rosa; 3 brothers, William, Ralph and Jimmy Lew Evans; and 1 sister Dorothy Adams. Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is scheduled from 9 am until 9 pm Saturday and from 1 pm until 9 pm Sunday.
