Obituary of JOHN William ANDREW

John William Andrew, age 84, of Kellyville, Oklahoma was born December 8, 1929 in Neosho, Missouri to Richard and Victoria Andrew. He departed to be with Lord on November 17, 2014. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma University where he received a football scholarship. John was drafted into the U.S. Army in February 1947 and served in Korea. In 1952 he was transferred to the U.S. Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1954. John worked as an independent truck driver until he retired. John was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 9 in Sapulpa and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1320 in Sapulpa. John also served as the Commander of the V.F.W Post 719 in Kellyville for many years. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 36 in Sapulpa and was involved with the Silver Haired Legislature. He was active with the Kellyville Senior Citizens and numerous other activities concerning veterans. John especially enjoyed sending numerous care packages to our American Soldiers in Afganistan and Iraq. John was a loving father and grandfather who is survived by three daughters, Joni K. Bundy of Kellyville OK; Rebecca Crook and husband Chris of Bristow OK; and Karen Jarvis and husband Rob of Northbend, WA; six grandchildren, Victoria Bundy Neese and husband Robert of Kellyville, OK; Tasha Farley and husband Logan of Sparks, NV; Heather Odell and Jacob Odell of Bristow, OK; Tyler Erb of Northbend, WA; Christopher Gouldie of San Antonio, TX; four great-grandchildren, Skyla Odell of Bristow, OK; John Neese Kellyville, OK; Kylee and Riley Logan of Sparks, NV. Also longtime friend, Delphine Young, of Kellyville, OK along with a host of cousins and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geneva Andrew and daughter Debra Clark.
